Edge
TImagine living in a beautiful, intricately designed
and contemporary community designed around an active,
outdoor lifestyle. Mountain’s Edge is a beautiful new
3,000 acre Master Planned Community being developed
on the Southwest side of the valley by Focus Commercial
Group. The community’s charm will be portrayed through

Tucked into the hillsides and mountain terrain, Mountain’s

Trial passes through the area, the developer chose to
enhance the community with its original historic culture.
Since the Paiutes, and before them, the Anasazi were
the original inhabitants of the area. Paiute Park recognizes
their involvement and contributions to the area. Though
these Native Americans lived a nomadic lifestyle rather
than establishing permanent settlements in the area,
their history still exists in the form of petroglyphs
and pictoglyphs in the surrounding canyons. Each of
the parks at Mountain's Edge will be named after explorers
and early settlers and will be home to plaques describing
that person's travels and accomplishments.
Exploration Park is one of the most creative parks in
the community. This Western Themed Park includes an
Old West Town, American Indian play structures, an archeological
dig area, water towers and more. The park is nestled
near the Mountain and invites residents to hike up its
trails to the summit of the mountain to enjoy full valley
views. The community has also been designed to conserve
energy and water. The developer worked alongside water
officials to find ways to make the community drought
tolerant, without comprising the visual appeal. As a
result, low-water usage plants were used for ground
cover along roads and entries and turf areas are minimized.
Amenities in Mountain’s Edge are endless. They will
include a clubhouse with a kitchen and party room, swimming
pools, a spa, workout areas, basketball courts, adult
and youth baseball fields, multi-use sports fields,
playgrounds, a trail system and barbecue facilities.
When completed, Mountain's Edge will consist of about
12,500 residences comprised of single family homes,
condominiums, and townhouses. Early plans outline home
sizes ranging from about 1,200 square feet up to 2,700
square feet. Many of the properties will offer scenic
views of the mountains, desert and city lights.
The community will have four elementary schools, two
middle schools and a high school as well as 98 acres
of commercial property.
Thoughtful
consideration has been given to ensuring every nuance
of a luxurious lifestyle outside the home, as well.
Features include two beautiful Golf Courses that meander
through the paseos of the mountainside; the Hale Irwin
18-hole course and the recently opened Greg Nash 18-hole
course, a state-of-the-art athletic center with resort
style pools, tournament quality tennis courts, basketball
courts, parks, walking paths and a gourmet dining facility.
Anthem’s reputation is one of the most visually arresting
